Here's the thing: There are these "parking lots" ALL OVER my HOUSE. My son makes these "parking lots" everywhere including my kitchen, living room and his bedroom. He is OBSESSED with cars and everything to do with transportation (tractors, motorcycles, trucks, planes, trains, helicopters, etc..you get the picture). If he had his way he would watch Disney's "Car Movie" all day every day.
This is what concerns me. His parking lots are starting to be color coded and he completely freaks out if ANYONE, and I mean, ANYONE messes with them. He spends hours assembling these lots and takes each car one by one and carefully lines it up then takes the next, and so on. If he doesn't like it?? He removes a car, gets a bit discombobulated, and then gets whiney before he gets it right.
Do you think he is OCD?? Am I overanalyzing this because I have social worker blood and I subconsciously believe that everyone has a mental health disorder and should be on medication??
Where does he get this?? Oh shoot. I just remembered that when I unpacked my winter sweaters yesterday that I color coded them on the shelf in my closet..oh no. Add that to my list of problems.

my nephew does something similar.... my first thought is the desire for control in one area stems from a lack of control or the feeling of the same in a different. (psych major)
besides, there is nothing wrong with ocd.... possibly he will just grow into a man who can actually match his clothes on his own!!!
